Chloe stays at the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel in Beavercreek, Ohio

The Suburban Extended Stay Hotel is located on 3845 Germany Lane, Beavercreek, Ohio 45431.
It is pet-friendly and has grassy areas surrounding the building along with a sidewalk for Chloe to walk.  There are no pet-waste bags but there were trash cans around the building to place the waste.  Chloe needed to be kept on a leash when she was outside her hotel room.

It was $25.00 for her stay with a $50.00 deposit that was refundable.  Only 2 pets are allowed in a room, with a maximum weight limit of 50 lbs. per pet.

Chloe flies Delta Airlines

Chloe flew Delta Airlines from Las Vegas, NV to Dayton, OH around May 2011.  She flew in-cabin as a pet carry-on.  Chloe took up one carry on item allowed on flight and she had to be placed under the seat in front of me.  She needed to be placed under the seat far enough so that if the plane went down the passenger seated next to me would have enough leg room to get out.  The aisle or middle seats usually give more room for pet carriers but you'd have to make sure the carrier is pushed far enough under.  With the window seat you can usually get away with not putting the carrier so far under the seat since you're not worrying about the person in the aisle seating or middle row, who'd need the leg room to get out during an emergency or to get up for other reasons ;)  The only problem with the window seats though are some airplanes curve in a lot, taking up the room for the pet carrier space.
For Chloe to travel one way it was $125.00, with a round trip total of $250.00.  Delta Airlines didn't ask for a health certificate during this flight.

Here is Delta Airline's pet policy taken from their website:

Chloe gets a Health Certificate/Vet Visit

Some airlines and some states require a health certificate for pet travel.  The health certificate usually needs to be done within 5-10 days of the travel dates.
You can get a health certificate from your veterinarian or even some PetsMarts and PetCos.  Chloe's certificate was around $45.00 from her veterinarian.
At the veterinarian's office they checked Chloe's temperature, listened to her heart, checked her ears and made sure she was up-to-date on her shots.  (Make sure to ask for a copy of the shot records, just in case you need to have them for any arising issues.)  At the veterinarian's office you can also ask for anxiety pills for your traveling companion if you think your pet would be too skittish during the flight.
The health certificate looks like a health report card, stating what type of animal you have, their weight, coloring, and age.  The certificate can also list where you are planning on traveling to with the dates.  It will also include the veterinarian's license number and the office's information.  :)
